Driving Instructor and examiner

$30 an hour – part time

Instructor Job Description

– Reports to Operations Manager.

– Provides one-on-one, in-car instruction to adult drivers.

– Provides in-person instruction in the classroom.

– Notifies management team of complaints/praise from customers.

– Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and policy updates.

– Manages own schedule.

– Administers DOL Knowledge and Skills Tests.

– Maintains driving records per customer and files appropriately.

– Informs office staff of issues with customers including extra lessons, complaints, etc.

– Informs Operations Manager of vehicle issues and interactions with the public.

– Coordinates special projects with Operations Manager.

– Helps prepare for DOL/Management audits.

– Reports late appointment cancellation collateral activities to Office Manager.

Instructor Required Qualifications

– Friendly, enthusiastic and a team-player.

– Infinite patience; especially with students with language barriers.

– Heavily focused on details and time management.

– Must possess top-tier communication, customer service and organizational skills.

– Microsoft Office Suite experience.

– Must possess reliable transportation.

– Ability to hold DOL certifications.

– Experience giving instruction.

– Multiple language fluency/familiarity a huge plus.

– Open availability – including weekends.
